Dependable Silver Tin Oxide contacts have replaced the mercury used in previous generations of these switches. They also feature larger floats for increased buoyancy and convenient, snap-in bases that allow for easy switch removal when cleaning or inspecting. The resilient rubber grommets provide strain relief to the sealed wiring, which exits from the tops to keep it dry.
